One week down---3 more for Jill, and 5 more for Liz.
Our first week at our hostel was nightmarish. Dirty, HOT, crowded, HOT, loud and of course, HOT! (With no wi-fi access. UGH!)
However, we endured it like champs, and got moved to a new room, upstairs, where it is actually quite lovely! We have a fan, it's clean, not noisey (yet!), and spacious. We are quite pleased!
But onto better things,yes?
MAKEUP!
Cinema makeup school is amazing. We've already learned a lot!
We walk to and from school every day -it's about 1.5 miles each way) through lovely Korea town to get to Wiltern Theater where our school is located. We could take a bus, but we enjoy the stroll! (Even when it's 95+ degrees....why haven't we melted yet?)
Our first week entailed natural beauty and glamour makeup. Both are big money-makers, since most people don't want to look like they just stepped out of a music video.
Our teachers are amazing, working makeup artists in the industry who have worked on celebrities with film, tv etc.
Today we decided to explore Hollywood, found a Sephora (YAY!), ate at California Pizza Kitchen, went to The Hollywood Museum and saw lots of vintage makeup, and a whole floor dedicated to Marilyn Monroe!<3
Also checked out the wax museum, Ripleys Believe it or Not, and the Guiness Book of World Records Museum . Walked the walk of fame!
We had a blast, and are very tired! We should sleep good tonight!
